Run from Norton LifeLock
I have been a customer of Norton LifeLock for many years. I recently had an issue trying to get one of my financial institutions to be monitored. Neither Norton or LifeLock could add back the financial institution to my dashboard. The issue was supposedly escalated to the top of their technical staff. I had to make repeated phone calls / emails and was put on hold for hours while they tried to resolve. I live in Spain part of the year and I had to deal with this issue from midnight on due to the time change. They would promise to email or call when fixed and no call ever came so I had to completely start over. I had 3 case numbers assigned to me but never a solution. Their feedback was that a process had to be followed and someone would call me or be in contact within 48 hours. That has been the answer and no call or contact. A supervisor said give us 72 hours and I promise you will be contacted. There is no communication between Norton and LifeLock and no one on Norton's side can talk to the technical people on LifeLock. It is a recipe for disaster. I have canceled my subscription with Norton LifeLock and will go with IdentityGuard. No one should use Norton LifeLock. They do not care about the client. They are very nice on the phone but none of them can fix anything. It is a frustrating circle of lies. I will never use them nor recommend this company to anyone. They need a major overhaul. They should reimburse me for my time, emotional stress, long distant calls, and current membership dues since June when this started. This company is dealing with my private information and these people can not be trusted to protect my data. Run from Norton LifeLock.

Poor Communication
Started a chat about issues with Smart Scan. The tech tried for about 45 minutes to fix the problem but could not. Happens. He said he would elevate the case. Got a call 2 days later at 7:30 pm from an 800 number and couldn’t understand a word the caller said. Thought it was a spam call and hung up. Went back to Norton chat the next day to see about my status and was told my case was closed because I would not acknowledge the case number when they called. Poor English speakers should not be calling at night no matter their tech skills.

Love Pop-ups???
Love Pop-ups? You'll LOVE Norton! There is absolutely NO WAY you can prevent these, multiple times a day, upselling their other useless products by scaremongering messages! I will not be using this for my business again when my annual subscription expires!

Rip off.
You can pick this up from Currys relatively cheaply or you could a few years back. When you activate the subscription they make you put your card details in. No big deal, right? A year later they are charging DOUBLE the amount through auto renewal. When I asked for a refund they offered to drop the price to what was available at almost all stores… so you make people pay double the amount normally? How is that morally right?! Eventually after a lot of back and forth I got the renewal cancelled and got 3 year MacAffee instead for a lot cheaper. Lesson learned.

Not For Me!
I have used Norton in the past, and have found it to be an excellent antivirus program. So when an ad popped up for it, I decided to get the software. Unfortunately, it is not the software I remember. It took over my computer, changed my homepage, and my search engine, and even created an issue for webpages that I wanted to view, as it blocked them. Then I found that I couldn't get to my Gmail accounts, as it had changed the settings, blocking my accounts. I finally decided to simply delete Norton off my computer altogether, so that it wouldn't be annoying me as I'm trying to work! I am sorry, but I can't continue to have an antivirus program that is constantly getting in the way!

I am a loyal customer no more
I am a loyal customer no more. For years I have been a Norton customer for these reasons: Norton Antivirus, Norton Utilities, Smart Firewall, and Multiple-PC coverage. The last three years they keep changing what you get with your subscription in attempts to make more money out of you. Now, the Norton Utilities has been disabled in my latest renewal and if you want it, you have to pay them more money. Not to mention the constant upsell for the other services (Lifelock/Privacy) crap I don't need.

I'm done. I will move to a different AV protection once my current subscription expires. Norton is no longer the same reliable trustworthy company I trusted for years. Adieu!

HOW TO DEAL WITH THESE LITTLE GREEDY TERRORS EXTERNAL TO THE SMOKE SCREENS THEY PUT UP IN THE ATTEMPT TO PREVENT US FROM GETTING OUR MONEY BACK.

THAT WAY YOU WILL NOT GET FRUSTRATED AS YOU CAN DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM IF YOU GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR BANK AND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

DO NOT WASTE TIME. THE FASTER YOU APPROACH YOUR BANK, THE EASIER IT WILL BE.

FAST REACTION WILL SAVE YOU MONEY. EVERY BANK HAS THE SERVICE OF EITHER STOPPING A PAYMENT OR TAKING THE MONEY BACK.

Norton is becoming like a virus
I've used Norton for years and, up to recently, never had any problems. However, nowadays, most days I'll get continual pop-ups from Norton that try to scare me into buying more of their products. Things like "We've detected 100 trackers on your laptop... Pay more and we'll get rid of them". This is unacceptable. It's basically the same thing that viruses do - scare you into paying them. Really disappointed and won't be renewing my Norton anymore.

Worse than useless
Five times,recently, I've tried to 'update my details' on the Norton site...(Which, simply, doesn't work)....Do I get a response from them ?...NAH !! Time to delete Norton completely and use something else. They 'seemed to be good', in the past..but now..a complete waste of money.

Not able to cancel subscription, there is no such option in the system, and you won't be able to contact their staff through any methods. the only way to cancel is to cut your credit card. It is a scam! by the way, it is a useless software, with annoying notification that you can't disable.

It has just taken me 23 minutes to…
It has just taken me 23 minutes to renew my subscription. The customer service man kept leaving me hanging on. It was a straightforward renewal. Why did it take so long? It was an 020 number for which I am paying. I am a pensioner. I had to phone or I would have been charged £74.99 instead of £37.49. Why do they put people through this? Very stressful. I am in my mid 70's and can handle it - but how do much older people manage?
